The aim of the Federation is to provide a happy educational environment; a school where all young people are provided with a high quality education. We seek to recognise and develop each pupil as an individual and create a school life which is both stimulating and challenging.
We take pride in our pupils as they flourish within the school’s supportive environment. All benefit from the wide range of extra curricular activities which compliment the excellent teaching from our committed staff.
Our expectations and examination results are high and achievement is both recognised and rewarded within the context of partnership between the school, pupils and parents.
We seek to achieve our aims through a carefully structured programme throughout the school. A variety of traditional and modern teaching methods are employed together with a wide range of books and up to date equipment; all work being directly based on the National Curriculum.
The National Curriculum consists of the five core subjects: English, Mathematics, Science R.E. and ICT. These are supplemented with Design Technology, History, Geography, Modern Foreign Languages, Music, PE and Art.
Our current base reading scheme in Key Stage 1 is Oxford Reading Tree and supplemented with a variety of other schemes.
We use 'Letters and Sounds' to teach phonics in Key Stage 1, through an engaging scheme called Jolly Phonics.
We continue to deliver this in an innovative and creative manner.
